Gweha Health is a US-based Joint Venture company with subsidiaries in Mauritius and Cameroon. We have partners across Africa, in India, and in other parts of the world.

Co-Founders

Prof. Yap Boum II is founder of iDocta, along with being the Deputy Incident Manager for Mpox at Africa CDC, a Yale professor, the regional representative for Africa for Epicentre (the research arm of Doctors Without Borders), and several other key continental positions. With extensive experience in epidemiology, infectious diseases, and outbreak response, he brings strategic leadership to Africa CDC’s efforts in surveillance, research, and public health interventions across member states.

Adam Rubin is a co-founder of Zantango, and the holder of both an Oxford MBA and an MFA from the distinguished USC School of Cinematic Arts. He is a serial entrepreneur, primarily in the technology industry. He has raised significant funding, won awards for product innovation, and has developed and received multiple patents. He was born in South Africa and was raised in the United States, giving him a global perspective.

Dr. Gary Kramer is a co-founder of Zantango, and a high level computer engineer and medical doctor. He has started several companies and was a pioneer in the document imaging field with his company Speedscan. Along with successfully exiting from Speedscan, he has raised funding for multiple companies and developed and received multiple patents. He was born and raised in Zimbabwe and has lived in the United States for many years since then.

Jim Malmberg brings over 30 years of enterprise sales and management experience as an executive for MCI, Lycos, and other companies, running teams in US, Europe and Asia. He is a former director of national accounts for Niterider (now IKON Office Solutions) an $11 billion dollar company.

Dr. Yves Wasnyo is Chief Medical Officer at iDocta, and is a physician scientist with extensive experience in patient care across both rural and urban settings. He is a leading researcher in the prevention of early non-communicable disease (NCD) risks related to diet and physical activity.

Martin Lubowa is a scientific entrepreneur and software engineer with expertise in traditional software engineering, artificial intelligence, and blockchain technology. As a co-founder of Primetel, a telemedicine company in Tanzania, they provided over 10,000 people with access to mental health.

Dr. Robert Nsaibirni is a distinguished computer scientist specializing in data management, research IT, and compliance within the public health sector. He holds a PhD in Science and Information Technology from the University of Yaoundé, where he achieved his doctorate with distinction.

James Tayali is an experienced health innovation and digital health specialist with a demonstrated history of working in the health, technology and agriculture industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from UC Berkeley and a Master of Philosophy in Health Innovation from the University of Cape Town.

Sandrine Kyane is an experienced project manager with a history of high level operational management and quality improvement with healthcare. She is currently the Strategic Regional Officer for Africa for the Pasteur Institute, and was previously a Clinical Compliance Manager with Stanford’s School of Medicine. She has an MSC in Global Medicine & Management from USC.

Banadzem Danirla Daniel is a Scrum Master and Data Manager with a BSc in Software Engineering and experience in public health. He has worked with MSF Epicentre, leading nationwide data collection and analysis projects, and eBASE Africa, contributing to data-driven research initiatives.

Lionel Mbiandjeu has been a highly experienced leader and strategist at CAMTEL (Cameroon Télécommunications) for the last 13 years, specializing in digital communication, marketing, and customer relations. He has led digital communication strategies, marketing campaigns, and large-scale projects, such as implementing CAMTEL’s 4G LTE mobile network.

Herwin Nanda has 10 years of public health oversight experience with Doctor Without Borders, Epicenter, ALERRT consortium and the Public Health Emergency Operation Center of the National Public Health Ministry in Cameroon, where he was Co-Principal Investigator of research in community engagement for health.

Donald Buri is an exceptional Laboratory Specialist with wide experience in Laboratory Medicine. He has over 20 years of experience including with Doctors Without Borders and the World Health Organization. He holds an Msc in Immunology (Kenya), a diploma in Clinical Research During Outbreak (Ghana), a diploma in Project Management in Global Health (US) and is a PhD Candidate (Immunology).

Victor Otoa Embolo is the nursing coordinator for iDocta, and is currently based in the emergency department of the Centre Hospitalier et Universitaire de Yaoundé (CHUY). With over ten years’ experience, he excels in triage, treatment administration and emergency management. He has expertise in both the clinical hospital and at-home care experience.

Rachel Marthe Therese Essaka Evoue is a leading lab analyst and researcher for the Public Health Ministry of Cameroon, and has led research for the Public Health Yale University Project. She holds an MD in microbiology and is an MPh candidate.
